Change pre-ordered Harry Potter tickets from IMAX?

i would give the theater a call. when i called my theater asking about tickets they didnt have the regular available yet so they said i could buy the 3D and when the regular went on sale i could switch them and get the difference in money back. i would think most theaters would do that but just to be sure give them a call :)
